Hi everyone! How've you all been?

I really miss all of you so, so much! :-(

I mean, I hate school and all, but it just doesn't feel right, not dragging myself out of bed at 5.45am every morning and all the way to school to see Cons' tired face, Jiamin and Simin rushing to the queue because they're always so slow, Tim Tay and Ee Ming always at the front of the queue, followed by Tan Yuan and Stanley (whom I always see walking in together... *cough*) then Ansen looking away trying to avoid Randy...

Then we'll all walk as slowly as we can manage to whichever classroom our first period is held in. Groans and sighs everywhere if it's on the fourth floor :-P

(Exception: Miss K's lesson. Lit people will run like dogs to the classroom, adjusting skirts and pinning hair up on the way)

Bah. I miss 09A06. Really. Hope you all haven't forgotten me...

The slum project
Outing to Swensens to celebrate Derek's birthday
Outing to Swensens to celebrate Darren's birthday (Rmb how Shermaine TY waited for us at the side gate to set off some party streamers thing?)
"Memorable PE lesson" which had Tiong Han kneeling and pounding the ground with his fist
That infamous day when Ansen and Stanley & all of us pissed all the teachers off- We made Mr Tan's blood boil during PE, we were in the wrong classroom for geography and Mdm Habibah yelled at us...etc
Service learning at Bishan home + Juicing apples (Rmbr how Ansen went around sticking apple logos on everyone's back?)
During GP, Mr Chin made us talk about our ideal man ( & Stanley wrote down all the S adjectives... eg sexy, seductive..)
Moral Ed in home econs room and the scandalous Truth or Dare game (Rmbr Tim Tay's confession?)
The boring national day. And during the celebration, everyone was running around forming the train chain but our class just stood stock-still, as usual (& our pathetic hamper! While 09A01's hamper was thrice the size of ours)
PW week in the PW room (& MR chin said our room looked like a karaoke lounge), we watched a lil bit of Good luck chuck, Don't mess with Zohan and 23, and finished Evan Almighty and Freedom Writers.
That GP period when we had to confess our worst crimes and we found out Simin's crime! ('Destroying' the customer's property)
The whole class ponning chi lecture to go for NTU talk
The whole class (except Darren) ponned the Chi mock exam
Those times when Miss K stormed out of Lit class
Chalet at Changi (Guitar hero, raving rabbits, feeding nasi lemak to the cats loitering outside, the pointless videos, the ghost stories, the getting high)
The outing to Astons and Orchard Cineleisure
The whole class watching Armagaddeon (Total sob fest for the girls + Tim Tay)
The class hanging around in class and trying to throw bottles/paper balls into the dust bin.

Today was INCREDIBLY fun:)

After school, we played with Sarah’s bubble blower. The bubbles were so gorgeous and whimsical looking, floating all about the classroom and out of the windows. The scene looked so dreamy and everything, like we were underwater.

We then trooped to Cathay for lunch at an insanely early hour (11.45 am.) If you happened to walk past us, you’d probably laugh to yourself. It was raining heavily and ALL of us whipped out our own umbrellas to brave the wind and rain to walk to Cathay from the MRT. The image seems quite funny, somehow. This whole line of JC kids gingerly avoiding the puddles of water while hanging on to their umbrellas for dear life.

At Astons, Yun Ting put on this straight face and asked the waitress if we could order a bottle of red wine. Immediately, the manager told the waitress to decline our request and said joking , “ So, what’s your principal’s name ah?’ haha. And during the meal, the manager walked past, and Darren stared at him fiercely and said, “ Where’s my red wine?’

We then went upstairs to decide on a movie to watch. Oh and we spotted Stanley’s brother, of all people! Everyone was exclaiming ‘ hey, that’s stanley’s brother” and staring at him like he was a rare animal in the zoo. I think we scared him off, cuz he and his gang left quickly after. Haha.

The movie timings were quite late, so we were thinking whether we should
- watch a movie at Orchard Cine
- game at a LAN shop
- play pool
- go karaoke
- rent a room at cine and rent dvds

Haha. All the options are what ahlians/ah bengs usually do. We finally decided to go to cine, but there was some huge debate over whether we should walk there or train there. Luckily, we decided to train cuz we didn’t want to walk for fifteen mins. ( although it was quite a ‘short walk’, according to Si Min.)

We wandered around aimlessly from two to three while waiting for our movie (Jennifer’s Body) We stopped outside NUM and laughed ourselves silly at the card display on the window. People were supposed to construct a sentence with the word Boomz in it, and write it on cards. ( eg. I want to boomz your mother, spongeboomz..etc)

The highlight of the day was taking neoprints!!!!!!!!! Sarah was saying that it was the guys’ virgin neoprint experience. I think it was a fluffy and pink version of hell for the guys. You should have seen how reluctant they were to even walk into the shop. To make matters worse, some SA people walked past and spotted us hovering outside the neoprint place!!
We went quite mad inside the booth, behaving like monkeys and screaming away. At the end, all of us were smiling quite nicely and getting ready when suddenly this baboon moved forward and plastered his face in front of the camera. So yeah.. one neoprint was filled with Ansen’s impish face.

Afterwards, we traipsed up to the top floor and sat around. Again, it struck us as funny, cuz we were sitting on this couch and everyone was doing their own thing.

And then Ansen gave us the biggest shock of our lives cuz he pretended to have lost the movie tickets. All of us were staring at him in sheer disbelief while he
‘ rummaged frantically’ through his bag and checked his pockets. For a heart-stopping moment, we actually believed him.

Jennifer’s Body was pretty terrible. The girls were quite terrified, and they had their hands covering their eyes half the time. Darren fell asleep. Haha.

I’ll really miss 09A06, I really will. It’s so small and we’ve all got our eccentricities but we gel pretty well. It’s like a little clique, the 13 of us, and it has just been an incredible 8 months with all of them.

You’ve got Darren, the usually quiet guy but when he speaks, it’s more often than not something hilarious. Then Zhi Wen, the seemingly horny Hong Kong wannabe who’s such a laugh. (“If I retain? I’m not gonna do SYF with THIS Chinese Orchestra! No fucking way!”) We’ve got Ansen, Sarah, the Shermaines, Si Min, Tim Tay, Ee Ming, Yun Ting, Rachel, Stanley and myself.

A band geek, a Korean loving girl, a super liberal, a pensive boy, and the list goes on. All different but joined by one common thing:

Omg. My class is hilarious man.
I'm really growing to love 09A06:)

I think Project Work Week really bonded us together as a class. The biggest perk of PW week was that we had the air-conditoned PW room all to ourselves, while other classes were suffocating in the stifling heat in their classrooms. Just picture this - we had this enormous room, complete with a gigantic wooden table and roller chairs( which made us feel like CEOs at a board meeting), a few couches to lounge in, a huge projector screen..etc

Someone had this brilliant idea of screening movies during our two hour lunch breaks so basically we settled into this comfortable routine. The minute the bell rings at 11am, the class will rush downstairs to grab a quick bite for about fifteen minutes. Then all of us will flock to the snacks stall and buy so many snacks that it's enough to feed a small army. haha. Pocky, chocolate, gummies, potato chips, fruits- you name it, we have it. We'll then smuggle the food upstairs and get comfortable in our seats. While we start taking out our jackets and deciding on what movie to watch for that day, someone will switch off the lights and hurriedly lock the doors. ( in case any teacher catches us red-handed)

Then the movie screening begins. Over the span of one week, we watched three movies, Freedom Writers( excellent movie by the way), Evan Almighty and Don't Mess with the Zohan.

It's amazing how our class has bonded over the course of this year, through pw week which had us poring over our laptops, through miss k's scolding sessions where we would sit, petrified and trying to comprehend what she was talking about, complaining about extra lit lectures, through geog lessons when we would all swoon in mr g's presence ( yes, even the guys admitted to it!!!), laughing at lao shi's antics and trying to annoy her even more, sitting at the back of the cc during econs at not paying attention, playing oh -ya -pay -ya- som in the caf so the loser would have to help put back our plates, shooting death stares at s22.. the list goes on and on. And every single one of the class has our their own unique personality, so it's a real joy having them around:)
